This Notice explains how Astralis Escape Enterprise, trading as Astralis Escape (“we”, “us”), collects, uses and protects personal data.
1. Collection of personal data
We collect names or nicknames, contact details, travel information, preferences, reviews and photographs provided through enquiries, bookings or review submissions. Participant lists, identity documents and transfer details are collected only when the activity requires them. If you provide another traveller’s data, obtain their permission and explain its intended use.
When you use the website, we process technical data such as referral sources, device information and page interactions. If you choose Google sign-in for a review, we process its display name and authentication information. Account and network identifiers used for identification and abuse prevention are stored in hashed form.
2. Use of personal data
We use personal data to respond to enquiries, coordinate bookings and transfers, prepare participant lists, resolve tour issues, manage and display reviews, analyse website and advertising performance, prevent misuse and meet applicable legal obligations. Not providing information needed for an activity may affect service arrangements.
3. Disclosure and international processing
For these purposes, we share information as necessary with relevant activity operators, boat and transfer providers, and website hosting, analytics and communication service providers.
We use services including Google, Cloudflare, WhatsApp and WeChat, which may process information outside Malaysia. Activity operators and service providers apply their own privacy policies when processing data independently.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
We use Google Analytics 4, Google Ads and Cloudflare Web Analytics to analyse website traffic and advertising performance. Google services may use cookies or similar technologies; Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use analytics cookies. Language preferences and saved itineraries are stored in your browser.
You can manage cookies through your browser and, in regions where Privacy choices is available, use that control to manage analytics and advertising data use.
5. Public reviews
After moderation, your review may be published with its display name, your chosen country or region, sign-in method, activity, rating, text, photographs and submission date. Country or region is optional; you can submit a review without selecting one. Google email addresses, original account IDs and anti-abuse identifiers are not published. Reviews are collected and managed by this website, not Google Maps.
6. Retention and security
We retain personal data for as long as needed to provide services, manage reviews, carry out security checks and meet applicable legal obligations. The website uses encrypted HTTPS transmission and restricts public access to unapproved reviews and photographs.
7. Your rights and choices
You may request access to or correction of personal data, removal of reviews or photographs you submitted, or withdrawal of consent for data use. We may need to verify your identity. We will explain any legal requirement to retain or process data and any effect of withdrawal on unfinished services.
